Landon Elmore

Biography

Landon Elmore is an American submission grappler and one of the fastest-rising prospects representing Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu in Austin, Texas. He has become one of the most talked-about young competitors in the sport, training under John Danaher, Gordon Ryan, and the rest of the team.

Elmore’s breakout performance came at EBI 25, where he delivered one of the most dominant tournament runs in tournament history. Competing as a purple belt, he submitted all four of his opponents in regulation to capture the EBI Lightweight Championship, joining elite names such as Gordon Ryan and Garry Tonon as one of the few competitors to win an entire EBI bracket without entering overtime. His run included a sub-one-minute heel hook over UFC veteran Bryce Mitchell and a finals submission against 10th Planet standout Keith Krikorian.

A specialist in the modern Kingsway leglocking system, Elmore is known for explosive entries into cross ashi and straight ashi positions, from which he consistently secures heel hooks and the straight ankle lock. His game blends a relentless pace, strong transitions, and opportunistic submission threats from guard.

Following his EBI championship run, Elmore signed with the UFC BJJ, where he made a successful debut at UFC BJJ 4 in late 2025. With his rapid technical growth, early professional success, and affiliation with one of the most influential teams in grappling, he is widely viewed as the next major force to emerge from John Danaher's pool of students.
