Overview
The ADCC Trials are regional qualifying tournaments for the ADCC World Championships, one of the most prestigious events in submission grappling. Held across multiple continents, the Trials determine which athletes earn coveted spots at the ADCC World Championships. Winning a Trials event is considered one of the toughest accomplishments in the sport due to the large brackets, diverse skill levels, and physically demanding format.
Each region hosts its own Trials—such as North America, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia & Oceania, and South America—and the champions of each division receive automatic entry into the ADCC World Championships. The Trials follow the ADCC ruleset, emphasizing takedowns, positional control, and submission hunting, often producing breakout stars and new talent for the world stage.
