Biography

Jacob Bornemann, widely known as “Little Jacob,” is an American professional submission grappler and one of the newest breakout stars from Pedigo Submission Fighting (PSF). A core member of the legendary “Daisy Fresh” training room, Bornemann has quickly established himself as a high-output, pressure-based competitor whose relentless pace and physical intensity embody the modern PSF style.

Bornemann rose to international prominence in 2025 after capturing the East Coast ADCC Trials title in the -77kg division. In one of the most demanding runs in recent memory, he navigated a bracket of over 100 elite competitors, securing a decisive finals victory over Michael Sainz and notable wins over established professionals earlier in the tournament. This performance earned him qualification for the 2026 ADCC World Championships in Poland.

A standout feature of Bornemann’s game is his strong wrestling background, which he uses to control the pace and structure of matches. Unlike many submission-only specialists, Bornemann consistently dictates where exchanges occur through takedowns, scrambles, and top pressure, allowing him to impose his game rather than react to his opponent’s.

His competitive style is built around constant forward momentum and a suffocating passing approach. Bornemann is particularly known for wearing opponents down through layered pressure, forcing extended defensive sequences and capitalizing as fatigue sets in. This “war of attrition” mentality has become one of his defining traits, with many of his strongest performances coming in the later stages of high-intensity matches.
