Felipe Machado

Biography

Felipe Machado is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and elite no-gi submission grappler representing the Piramide Grappling Association. Widely regarded as one of the most dangerous rising talents in the modern submission grappling scene, Machado has built a reputation for his aggressive, finish-oriented style and willingness to attack submissions from any position.

Machado is particularly known for his highly technical leglock game, frequently attacking with heel hooks and foot locks from a variety of entanglements. While his lower-body attacks are a defining feature of his style, he also possesses a strong back-taking system, often transitioning from leg entanglements into dominant upper-body control. His submission- first mentality makes him a constant threat, as he is willing to sacrifice traditional positional play in pursuit of the finish.

Throughout his competitive career, Machado has tested himself against many of the world’s top grapplers on major professional stages. He earned a bronze medal at the 2024 South American ADCC Trials and played a key role for his team during the AIGA Champions League, helping the squad secure the world title in Kazakhstan.

Machado has also competed on high-profile events such as the UFC Fight Pass Invitational, where he faced multi-time world champion Mikey Musumeci in 2024. As of the mid-2020s, he continues to establish himself as one of the most exciting submission specialists in the professional no-gi circuit.
